Adam - you did an awesome job last night!! What a crazy night of racing. That was one heck of a photo finish. You did great racing your car and then jumping into Tim's car. People were driving crazy! More crashes last night than in the whole season so far! Lots of work to do on the car this week. Uncle Joe sure knows what he is doing! Your car was fast!! Good job on the 6 for 6 and qualifying fastest - winning the dash. I am very proud of you and you sure impressed Kory, Dale & Debbie!!

Well Adam, we are moving so I will not be able to post anymore on your racing. I will have to keep up through the computer.
We found a dirt track in Arkansas. We are moving to Crossett. They race on Saturday nights. Not sure of the type of cars.
It is called Drew county speedway. I think.
Continue to race hard.

Hey Adam,
I took a couple of blurry photos of you at 141. I am glad I got to experience the paved track. It seems like a nice track, bathrooms and all. But to tell you the truth it didn't WOW me.
We came to see you and Benji race. Poor Benji didn't fair to well. For me I like it in the dirt so much better!

Congrats Adam. I think we may go to 141 next week. It is such a bummer last Friday at Luxy. My fav drivers weren't there. But so glad to hear you are doing well at 141! Hope to see you there racing!

No he just wanted to try the car out and we havent had time to fix it lately because we are so busy with the other car at 141 speedway. I finished well last night with a third place finish and won my heat race again.

Adam White's racing season didn't start too well this year.
The Bay Port high school senior finished eighth in the IMCA Northern sportmod feature event on opening night at Luxemburg Speedway. Last Friday, his car's engine blew, ending his night.
With no backup engine and funding low, the future looked bleak.
Then White learned of the "Gong Show" at 141 Speedway, where car owner Bruce Conard was hosting auditions for his full-time ride on Saturday nights at the ΒΌ-mile paved oval.
With a burning desire to try pavement racing but without a fat wallet, White, a fourth generation driver, threw his hat in the ring. When it was settled, 28 drivers submitted their resumes for the audition.
White was one of four finalists. He wound up clicking off the fastest lap, 12.43 seconds, just 3/10ths of a second off the track record.
"I was so nervous before I climbed into the cockpit," White admitted, "my hands were shaking. But I didn't want anyone to notice. I was driving someone else's car, and the last thing I wanted to do was wreck it."
When the auditions were completed, White was offered the full-time ride.
"I'm pretty jacked up about it, that's for sure," White said. "I put a lot of high expectations on myself. I don't want to just go out there and make laps. I want to win. It will take some time, but we hope to get there."
White had some coaching from Wisconsin International Raceway limited late model driver Jeff Tisler.
"I was on the phone with Jeff for quite a while the night before, and he gave me a bunch of pointers," White said. "The biggest thing he said at 141 is, you can't be afraid to swing out towards the frontstretch wall coming out of (Turn) 4. You've gotta let the momentum take you up high. That helped a lot."
White was with some fast company in the finals. Former IMCA modified national champion Benji LaCrosse, former WISSOTA late model and current IMCA modified driver Jamie Schmidt and New Franken's Brad Lautenbach, an up-and-coming IMCA sportmod driver who's a junior at Green Bay Preble, were on hand.
"I mean, Benji LaCrosse has more dirt track racing credentials than most in the Midwest, so I was intimidated, no doubt," White said. "I just feel really fortunate, and I don't want to let anyone down."
As for White's high school buddies from Bay Port?
"They all want to be on the pit crew,'' White said. " They all want to be my spotter and are fighting over that right now. But I think I'll go with somebody who's got some experience in that department."
White's background includes go-kart racing, where he won 85 features events. He won his first IMCA hobby stock feature when he was 14 and captured the Badger State Showdown last season at Luxemburg.
The other three drivers wound up winners as well. LaCrosse, Schmidt and Lautenbach will take turns this year racing Mid-American stock cars out of Conard's stable of three race cars.
"I was so impressed with Adam, Benji, Jamie and Brad," Conard said. "Those guys adapted so quickly to the pavement. They are all great drivers who represent their sponsors well, and we'll be happy to have them at 141 Speedway several different times this year."
As for White's sportmod on the dirt?
"We'll have a motor in it for Luxemburg (tonight)," White said. "Once we begin asphalt racing, we'll probably just race the sportmod Sunday nights at Seymour. We'll see how it goes."

Hi Ol just updating for Adam, hes pretty disappointed so he may not answer you. His only motor blew up last night. It is possibly the end of his year already. I think he is going to test drive an asphalt car, an opportunity has been brought to him I don't know all the details but he is test driving soon.
Yes he's a senior, he doesn't have a complete plan yet but he is signed up to take the transfer program at NWTC and he will move on from there.
I met his baby brother Garot once awhile back. He is very cute, smiley and happy the whole time he was in the salon with Adams girlfriend.

Yeah the car was fine but the track was just horrible the speedway did everything they could once races started but my head just wasnt right either i drove a vad race and got out to a bad start for the season i hope this upcoming friday will be better but looks like it is going to rain again

Adam - Uncle Matt just showed me the pictures of the car! I think it looks awesome!! I will be sending this to David & Hugh so they can see what the car looks like. Jay & I are hoping to still get them to come up and watch a race this year!

Sorry I have not been posting on here lately but I will be racing weekly at luxemburg and maybe at times seymour if we can find the sponsorship money but I am very excited for this upcoming season.

D-m, d-m, and d-m again. Why did you have to go to the end? You didn't cause that crash? What am I not understanding here? You got a couple of bum raps this year. Jeez. You got screwed.
Hope you will be at the Luxy specials. It was very exciting to watch you race this year. Friday nights won't be the same without you!

Smart driving in the heat. I don't get it. In the feature you got spunned why didn't you get your position back? Were you blamed for the spin? Wish I knew more of the rules. What happened that you had to leave the track? Bummer!
Are you racing tonight somewhere? You are my all time favorite driver! I wait all week to get my Adam fix!
Congrats on Gavin, looks like a cutie to me. Mom looks fantastic for just giving birth.

Adam I don't know all the racing rules, but it is a bummer that you have to be last when you go to the pits to change the tire. Why did the two cars that came out of the pits after you get to go ahead of you? That didn't seem to be fair to me!

Well thanks i was happy about passin 13 cars in the feature but i made alot more work for myself last night than i had to. The heat race was all on me i messed up i guess i still have some rookie in me, and then in the consy i was too anxious and that caused me to bend my upper A and i had to do all i could to keep from spinning out and i had thought i didnt even make it but my uncle let me know i did and i was relieved. Then for the feature i wanted to do good for my dad and my uncle i felt i had to redeem myself for all the hard work they put in. But hopefully next week will be better!

A tough night at the track. However, what can you say about someone who was last in the feature and made it in the top ten. I say fantastic driving.
