2005 Hobby Stock Rookie Of The Year
2006 Updates
06-02-06 Luxemburg Races. After coming off of some disappointing races the past few weeks I was really hoping to do better this Friday.   Because of my low point average I had pole in my heat, but I ended up taking 3rd.   In the feature I got tangled up with another driver and we were both sent to the back.   I managed to work my way up to tenth and had nothing but some left rear quarter panal damage.

06-08-06 Thursday night started off like expected I started on the Pole in my heat and fell back to fourth.   I just can't seem to get the hold of those heat races.   My uncle, Joe White won the race.   I got lucky and started in 11th and Joe had the Pole.   My car was fast to say the least.   I went from 11th to 3rd and had some trouble getting by my uncle and De Grave for the lead.   I got inside him but going into 3 got him a little loose and De Grave ended up winning the race.   He had a good race and worked hard for that win.

First off I want to start by Congratulating Tom Brumlic on his great run after blowing up on Thursday and having to work his way up after starting way back in the feature.   The two day special was an interesting one to say the least.   I made the show on Thursday by making it in the top six so I didn't have to race until the main race.   I started in third and in the begining of the race me and another driver got tangled up again but I got my spot back and he was sent to the back.   I got by a few cars then was passed by Brumlic and fell back to second.   There were about 3 cautions but after every caution Brumlic pulled away from me and i just couldn't keep up, which was a driving error for trying to drive it in to hard.   I got second which is my best finish yet in my career racing Hobby Stocks.   Im looking forward to next week.

This week was the most fun I have ever had in my racing career.   I stared it off by starting on the pole in my heat and lead every lap and won it but it wasnt easy the track was a mess and sloppy.   I wasnt going as fast as i could have but when i saw Keith Kickbush inside of me i picked it up.   Then after that came my feature.   I started on the outside pole and got a good start and got into first on the frontstretch and stayed there, and even lapped a few cars.   Then a caution came and the car was loose but i held onto the lead and i now fianally have my first Feature win.   I hope that it isnt my only one though.

This week I started off by winning my heat race the track was pretty dry.   Winning my heat race started me on the outside pole position in the feature.   On the first lap I jumped out to the lead going for the green but I guess I let off the gas too much and someone slid up into me Then going into the same corner a lap after got hit in the left rear and went off the track and had to pull into the pits cuz of a huge push. I hope I can do better this friday.

Once again I did terrible. I was winning my heat and spun out all by myself, I'd like to say it wasn't my fault but it was so I have no one to blame. In the feature I started in 13th and gradually worked my way up. I got up to 8th so overall it was a pretty terrible night. I want to give out a huge CONGRATULATIONS to my driving buddy Dillon on his first feature win and it was well deserved. To bad people have to start claiming.

Sunday was a special and I started off by winning my heat. That put me second row inside in my feautre. I got to second and stayed there for a while until my uncle flew past me like I was standing still.   Then he had to pull off because he was overheating. Then on the last restart the guy infront of me in first, didnt take off, I should have went inside of him but didnt and made yet another rookie mistake.   I was stuck on the outside and should have drove it in the corner harder but didnt the car had a push and I finished the race in 7th or 8th. Good job Shawn Jerovitz for going from 18th to 5th in the mod. feature great job.

Well i would start this off by saying terrible but i cant.   So ill just start off by saying that i had a less than great night (terrible).   My heat i started out second row inside and everyone was running high so it was hard to pass i ended up getting passed by a few people and ended up in i think 4 or 5th thanks to my uncle joe.   That put me second row inside for my feature and joe started pretty far back there.   But hes Joe White so thats no problem for him.   I had an ok start and got passed by a few cars and was back to 5 or 6 before the caution.   Then after that it was a nightmare I was no good at all and as i was going there goes joe right on the outside of me and a whole train of cars.   I finished in about 11th and of   course my uncle won.   I have no idea y i am doing so bad these past 3 weeks but maybe things will turn around in my favor one of these weeks.

8-4-06

I came to the track expecting to finish no worse than 6th. I started 1st row outside and got the lead, I was passed by degrave and we pretty much stayed that way the whole race me and degrave were pretty well matched I was catching him little by little but he was more consistant than I was and I messed up in one corner and everything I gained was lost.   That put me in first row outside in my feature I got infront on the start and led every lap its my second feature win in Hobby Stock.

8-12-06

My heat started off with me in the third row inside. I basicly got up to third and got tangled with another car and fell way back and finished there.   That put me almost dead last for my feature I got off to a good start getting by a few cars then there was a caution, it was easily avoided. Then we started again and I got passed by a couple cars and another caution, there was a big pile-up in 3 and 4 I had anough time to just turn into the infeild and someone got me in the right rear a little bit but no real damage.   I was then all the way from last to 7th which is about 10 cars so I was fast. Then it started again and I got by two cars right away and and going into 3 I passed my uncle Joe and was ready to pass my cousin. I know that I had the car to win the feature easily   but comming out of 4 all of a sudden my wheel jerked right I got on the gas and kept going. I was battling to turn the car right to keep it straight and I barely did then we got to 1 and I let the wheel go and the wheel jerked left then stopped. I was headed straight for the tire so I got on the brakes I put it into the infield. My power steering broke. The thing is I was complaining about it for a couple weeks but things happen I gotta live w/ it. I only needed one more win to get a modified for a year free and I was so close and then to have it taken away from me in one straight away was the worst feeling in the world. Good job to my uncle Joe on winning yet another feature, Shawn Jerovitz on finishing 3rd and Benji Lacrosse on a win.

9-6-06

Three feature wins and that means that I now am racing Sport Mod next year.   I'll be racing at Luxemburg if they have Sport Mods and maybe I will race twice a week depending on how I do in the class.   I plan on moving to Mods in about 2 or 3years, maybe even longer.   That class is for experienced drivers and its not a class u can just jump into. I want to thank Shawn Jerovitz for helping me this season and for sticking behind me through the whole season and always believing that I could win even before I won.
* Special note: I want to race a sport mod next year but I have to maintain an exceptable GPA throughout the school year in order for me to get my car. My grades are what provoked this deal in the first place. I have a little work to do yet but I Know I can do it!! (I currently have a 3.0)

9-11-06 Just wanted to post to anyone who may not read ROL... Lance Arneson #75 mod had his car and trailer stolen from his Hotel parking lot In Ames Iowa while at the Nationals this past weekend. There is a $6000 reward for anyone who finds it.
Shot in the dark but we hope any advertising of this incident will help bring his car home.
